Cubetti-Os

A nostalgic favorite for 90s kids, reimagined with Brami Cubetti. This cozy one-pot pasta comes together in just 20 minutes with a rich tomato sauce, plenty of Parmesan, and optional mini meatballs.

🕒 Prep & Cook Time: 20 min | Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • ½ small onion, finely diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 oz tomato paste

  • 3 cups water (plus more as needed)

  • 1 box Brami Cubetti

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Cooked mini meatballs, optional

  • Fresh basil, for serving

  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a medium pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. Stir in the tomato paste, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the tomato paste deepens in color.

  3. Add pasta, and stir well.

  4. Add the water (or broth) and stir well to combine, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the pot.

  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened and clings to the pasta, about 10-12 minutes. Add a little more water as needed if it dries out before the pasta is cooked.

  6. Stir in cooked mini meatballs, if using, and cook until warmed through.

  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  8. Serve warm topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
