🕒 Prep & Cook Time: 30 min | Serves 4

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 12 oz. Curly Mac

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 3 cups whole milk

  • 4 ounces Fontina cheese, grated

  • 4 ounces Gruyère cheese, grated

  • 4 ounces sharp white Cheddar cheese, grated

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp Garlic power

  • 2 tins Jose Gourmet Smoked Salmon, drained

  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook according to the package instructions until just al dente.

  2. In a large saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat until fully melted and starting to bubble. Add the flour and whisk together for 1 minute.

  3. Add the milk in small increments while stirring to incorporate into the roux. Once all the milk is added, continue stirring for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

  4. Add the cheeses, dijon mustard, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder to the pot. Off heat and stir well allowing the cheese to melt.

  5. Add Curly Mac and smoked salmon to the pot. Stir until all ingredients all well incorporated.

  6. Transfer the mac and cheese into a 9 × 9 inch baking dish. Distribute breadcrumbs evenly on top and place under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes. Be sure to watch carefully as the breadcrumbs will burn easily.

  7. Let cool for 5-10 minutes, and enjoy!
